MCP

MCP is an open standard that gives AI apps one common way to connect to outside tools and data.
The app a person uses is the MCP host. The host creates one MCP client for each server, and that client lives inside the host. An MCP server offers the tools or data.
Think of it like this: MCP is a universal plug: any accessory that speaks the standard fits any car with the port. The car still decides when to use it.
