Rate limit

Sketch: a limit sign reads requests per minute; then too many requests hit a wait sign and loop back to retry.

A rate limit caps how many requests or tokens you can use in a set time, such as per minute or per day.

Think of it like this: It is the speed limit on the provider’s road: go too fast and you have to slow down and wait.
